Yet another sat receiver hacking question?

Do your research on the 'net. It's all there, but you need to actually take the time to read what people are writing, rather than ask questions. This isn't the forum for finding information about illegal activities such as satellite receiver hacking.

Antenna detect all frequency but why you can see only one channel?

A: The antenna is designed to receiver a specific band of frequency but the receiver will discriminate all signals except the one of interest otherwise all channels will fight for dominance

What happens during reiki?

What are analog and digital signals?

Analog radio signals cause characteristic changes, or modulations, in the radio waves that carry them: amplitude modulation (AM) and frequency modulation (FM). An old technology compared to newer digital signals such as satellite and high definition radio, differences that distinguish analog radio from digital radio include signal characteristics, sound clarity and cost.Type of Signal Transmission1. Carrier waves -- invisible forms of electricity and magnetism that travel wirelessly from radio broadcasting stations to radio receivers -- transmit AM, FM and digital HD radio programs. Digital signals transmit via pulses or digits of binary code, a language based on the numbers 0 and 1, before decoding.Clarity of Sound2. FM analog radio signals encounter interference when large objects such as mountains or buildings enter the intended path of travel, and cannot bend, unlike AM analog signals. An interrupted analog signal results in a crackling, unclear radio station. Digital radio signals generally don't experience interference errors, although bad weather can severely affect satellite stations.Cost3. Most perks have a catch. Satellite radio plays very few commercials, but there's a subscription fee and you must buy a satellite specific receiver. While free, traditional AM/FM radio and HD radio include commercial advertisements. To hear HD radio, you need a specific HD receiver. Digital HD receivers can play both analog and HD radio stations, but traditional analog receivers can stream only AM/FM stations.

Why does radio and satellite reception deteriorate when the sun goes down?

All satellite equipment, whether it be for communications, TV or radio, operates on its own specific radio frequency to communicate with the satellite. Light also gives off a radio frequency. "White light" which is what the sun gives out, is a full spectrum frequency. This means that every radio frequency there is, the sun is emmiting. So for you, when the sun goes down, the satellite which your radio equipment gets its signal from is probably in the path of the sun. Since the sun's rays are so powerful it inteferes with the satellites signal to your radio equipment. Let me know if I am right on this, you have XM radio. I am a satellite communications systems operator/maintainer in the US Army. Just curious because the XM satellites are geostationary which means that they are constantly in the same place in the sky in relation to the ground. You probably wouldn't have this problem with Sirius radio because their satellites have a highly elliptical orbit which means that there are multiple satellites moving over the western hemisphere where there are always two moving across the skies over North America. Since there are two always in the sky in different locations, if one was in the suns path, your radio would receive its signal from the other. Just as a little satellite humor, we sometimes have problems with our equipment when we try to locate the satellite in the sky. If the satellite is near the sun, our dish sometimes locks onto the sun. A couple of times I've seen when the sun crosses the path of our signal, the dish will start following the sun and we lose communications.

What is mean filtering in communication?

Filtering is the deliberate manipulation of information to make it appear more favorable to the receiver. For instance, If an elderly widow loves animals, presenting her the value of contibuting to a specific charity to help finance rescue sheleters for animals rather than explaining its more global mission may be a good example of filtering in communication. To the extreme, this is what "spin doctors" do. Most of us filter our communication with others simply in presenting the message in ways we believe the receiver will best understand.

What does searching for satellite signal mean when trying to hook up a satellite receiver and TV in a campground?

My wild guess would be: The satellite antenna you brought with you to the campground is not accurately pointed at the satellite you're trying to receive from, and consequently the receiver can't hear the bird. Either that, or else there are trees in the way between you and the satellite. Whatever the specific root cause, that message means the receiver isn't hearing any satellite signal. So in addition to the suggestions above, some others are: -- a bird sat on the end of the feed at the focus of the dish, and dropped a moist, radio-opaque load on it; -- the cable came loose at the dish; -- the cable got pinched in a hinge somewhere between the dish and the receiver, and broke; -- the cable came loose at the back of the receiver; -- a power supply failed somewhere, and the LNB at the dish isn't getting any power; -- the "front end" of the receiver has failed;

How a curved reflector is used as a satellite dish receiver?

The reflector piece of a Dish satellite is curved in order to receive the proper signals from the orbiting satellites in space (also known as orbital locations). In order to view a specific satellite channel, each Dish reflector is designed with a different curvature.

Satellite finder how do you use to align dish?

Answer: All commercial television broadcasting satellites are in orbit over the equator. If you live north of the equator, television broadcasting satellites will be located in the southern sky and conversely, if you live south of the equator, television broadcasting satellites will be located in the northern sky. If you happen to live within the boundaries of the equator itself, television broadcasting satellites will be located directly over you. This is the first starting point. In reality, there's an exact method to aim your dish at a specific satellite and there's an easy way to do it. The exact way can get quite complex; given that it involves determining where the satellite is exactly located, relative to your house where I presume that you will be installing your satellite TV receiving system. It involves factors such as latitude, longitude and azimuth (the angle of the satellite relative to your location). Let's go for the easy way. Bring your entire satellite system outside your house as well as a small TV set if you have one. If not, borrow one; otherwise, you'll need an assistant who will stay inside the house by the TV and be in a position to hear what you are saying and vice-versa. Let's assume that you have a small TV and that you live north of the equator. You must now hookup all the components correctly which basically involves (i) connecting the cable from the satellite dish antenna to the satellite receiver and then connecting the satellite receiver to the TV. This is where you have to really read the manual carefully, especially the part where you connect the satellite receiver to the TV. I say this, because, there are so many different types of TVs on the market, with each one having various options in terms of where you can connect the cable or cables from a satellite receiver to. At this point, we're not interested in other auxiliary components such as DVD players and the like. Our goal is to position the dish correctly; then maintain that position. Afterwards, once the dish has been properly aimed and installed, you can tackle the auxiliary components. Ensure that you are using an electrical power baroutside to plug in the receiver and TV and don't even attempt this if it's raining or about to rain. Once you have connected the components as per the user manual, you then turn the receiver and TV on and should be able to see the receiver's Signal Strength Meter on your TV. The signal strength meter's appearance and functionality may vary based upon your receiver model. This information can usually be found when you access INFO on your receiver's remote control, or SELECT/Installation. Note: In all cases, there cannot be any obstruction such as a building, tree, etc., between the satellite and your satellite dish. In some cases, a neighbor may have a satellite dish installed which should give you a pretty good idea where to start aiming your dish. With your dish antenna facing south, you can now start to slowly sweep the southern sky starting at about a 45 degree angle and keep adjusting the angle until the Signal Meter shows some movement. Now it's easy: first find the optimum vertical position and lock it in, then find the optimum horizontal position and lock it in. You've done it!

How to Compare TV Satellite Receivers ?

TV satellite receivers are normally installed in your home at no cost to you once you subscribe to a specific satellite TV service. Satellite receivers are designed to receive a signal from a satellite and decipher it for your television. This allows you to watch many different TV shows.Choose Your FeaturesBefore you can figure out what type of satellite receiver you want, you need to figure out what type of features you want to pay for. For example, you can receive standard features or advanced features. Standard features allow you to watch regular programs on a regular TV satellite receiver. However, you may be interested in more advanced features. Advanced features include a High Definition receiver or a Digital Video Recorder receiver. There are also other features for you to use to your advantage. For example, normal features allow you to use parental controls. Parental controls give you the power to keep your children from watching certain shows. You can even restrict specific channels. Other features include the ability to fast forward through commercial breaks, pause live television, view a TV guide, and record different programs. How Many TV Sets Will You Use?It is important for you to figure out how many TV sets you plan to use with the satellite receiver. For example, Dish Network offers two different types of satellite receivers. You can use the DISH 311 that only lets you use one satellite receiver with one TV. However, the DISH 322 allows you to watch different programs on two TV sets. Take into consideration how many people are in your household when you are picking a satellite receiver.Take a Look at DVR ReceiversYou should consider which DVR receivers you may be interested in receiving. DirecTV offers TiVo while Dish Network offers Video on Demand. Both TiVo and Video on Demand allow you to record up to one hundred hours of programs digitally. You may even e able to record two programs at the same time. If you do not want to record two programs at the same time, you can simply watch one program while you are recording another program.Take a Look at Combination ReceiversThere are combination receivers that you can take advantage of if you are interested in having the best of both worlds. For example, DirecTV allows you to use HDTV with TiVo. You can record and watch programs in HD. Pick the best one that suits your needs.

What is the path of a planet or a satellite called?

A satellite is a body in orbit around another lager body. A probe is a machine sent to a specific place or specific course in space. Comment: That doesn't seem to answer the question. The curved path that a satellite follows is either a circle or an ellipse

Where is the receiver?

The remote receiver in a television set can be located in an infinite amount of areas. To determine where it is, refer to the owner's manual of the specific television.

How do you set up surround sound on a LG smart TV?

The direct answer to this would be, no. But I think you might be asking the wrong question. To get surround sound to play your television programs you would need to put your cable/satellite box through the receiver. As a side note: There are two ways to do this. 1. If you receiver supports video pass thru (which would mean that there are VIDEO IN jacks and VIDEO OUT jacks) If not then proceed to the next option. You will hook up everything from the cable/satellite box to the receiver and just one cable, which will be the video signal, to the television. 2. You will hook up only the audio cables to the receiver and a single video cable straight to the television.
