Many teens carries cell phones around is mostly because they want to look cool, look more like a grown up, or entertainment. Cell phones are extremely popular in many different countries especially in United States of America and Canada. Most kids get their own cell phones in the age around 12 and up. Getting a cell phone is actually not such a bad idea, because it protects u and keeps you in contact with your parents at all times!

Pretty much the majority do, so they can call home. When my kids were in school the school staff didn't like it but there were no pay phones in the school. So parents got their kids cheap phones so they will be able to contact home, or the parent could contact their child. Just remember that your child shouldn't be having the phone on during class hours.
