There is no way to give a simple answer. Until 1968, you could purchase firearms by mail from a catalog, so there was no way to enumerate those persons. Actually ALL amendments in the US Constitution have to do with gun owners, because they are citizens just like everybody else. However the 'Second Amendment' deals specifically with the right to 'keep and bear arms' that is every American's inherent and God-given right. Yes. more citizens there own them than any other country. it is basic right protected by our constitution. There is nothing wrong with legal ownership of guns and helps keep our Government our Government and not let it become something else.
