∙ 16y agoless than one point of one percent self-define as "Satanists", and most of them believe that Satan is not evil but a necessary part of the Christian religion, someone to argue with God and take an opposing stance. Certain Christian groups define anyone who does not worship a Christian religion as a Satanist, to include Hindu, Buddhist, Pagan, Shinto, etc - but this is technically incorrect, as Satan is a part of Christianity and those other faiths are completely separate.
