The Moon effects the Earth because it makes the tides be pulled, but gravity pulls it back.So when the Moon is facing the west side of the Earth, it bulges out, and on the other side it makes it stay the same. It might also effect the weather. It also causes high and low tides because of the magnetic pull from Earth to the Moon.

The moon creates tides and it helps to stabilize earth's orbit. Both of these things are critical to earth's ability to sustain life as we know it. The moon also allows us to make useful solar observations by occasionally blocking out the body of the sun during solar eclipses. In the future the moon may become a useful platform for launching expeditions. Last but not least, the moon provides beauty and endless wonder.

the Moon has some gravity which controls the tide on the earth. when the moon is on the east side the tide will go towards the east. when it is west is will go west. this is the same with the sun but the moon has more gravity than the sun.

An obvious example is that without tides, coastal life diversity would be greatly less. Intertidal zones and mangroves support vast ecosystems. It probably wouldn't be much of a stretch to say that without the moon there would be no life on earth. The moon plays a major role in moderating the earth's wobble, and thus keeping our seasons relatively ordered.

The Moon Is extreamly Important For our well being. The Moon Stablizes The Earth Making it revolve on its Axis. If there was no moon the Earth would Wobble endless making the Earths Ice caps melt making flooding and droughts all across the world. Also there would be no north, south east or west due to the earth changing direction all the time.

If we had no permenant Axis the weather would be unpredictable... You might wake up and it is raining and in the morning it is as hot as the sahara. The Moon Supports the earth also by making the tides have two times that are aproximately 12 hours each. If there was no moon there would be no tides but there would definately be constant flooding regardless of your location because there is no tide to pull the water back into the ocean.

In conclusion the moon is very important and you should be happy its there.... The moon once was apart of another plantet of this solar system, but it colided with other rock to make our moon.

The Moon does not really do anytjing that helps or hurts the earth. It is merely there because it is trapped in the Earths gravitational field.

The influence of the Earth has slowed down the rotation of the moon.

Why does the moon have a stronger influence on Earth's tides?

It's all down to the proximity of the moon to the Earth. If it was further away, tidal influence would be much less.

Why does the moon have an influence on the Earth?

The moon's gravity pulls on the oceans and causes tices.

Was there life on the moon?

No, The moon was created when Earth could not sustain life. The moon was pulled into Earth's Gravitational pull and now orbits around Earth.

How are the earth and the moon opposite?

The earth harbors life, the moon cannot.

What are two differences between conditions for life on the moon and on earth?

Quite simply, Earth has the conditions for life, the Moon doesn't.The Earth has water, the Moon doesn't.The Earth has air, the Moon doesn't.The Moon has extreme temperature differences.

Can you escape the earth gravity by going to the moon?

No. If you are on the moon, then the moon is the dominant gravitational body in your area, but the moon still orbits Earth and so is still very much under the influence of Earth's gravity.

What planets influence tides?

None of the planets influence the tides on Earth. Only the moon, which is not a planet, has a major impact on tides on Earth.

The moon orbits the earth and not the sun because its closer to the earth making the gravitational force acting on it due to the earth more significant than that of the sun?

The Sun does exert a gravitational influence on the Moon, but the influence of the Earth is much greater.
