wash hands regularly especially after toilet and before handling food. practice reasonable cleanliness personally and in your surroundings. You also need to make sure you are washing your hands after coughing or sneezing..regarless if it touched your hands or not.. if you are sick..try not to touch other people as much as possible..

That all depends on the type of bacterial infection, as there are many. In general, there are two factors in preventing bacterial infections. One is that you should maintain good hygiene, wash your hands often and sanitize. The second is you can get immunized, again depending on the type of bacterial infection

so if I have on the same underwear that i had on when I was infected get i get a bacterial infection again?

The best way to reduce infection risks is to try to limit the amount of exposure you have to various infectious germs. Most infectious germs are spread through contact, so limiting the amount of people you touch or things you come into contact with that other people touch is the best way to do this. Also washing your hands frequently, keeping them out of your orifices (mouth, eyes, etc.), and trying your best to cover open sores on exposed skin will dramatically help.
