Several of our presidents hailed from the great state of Texas. Just a few of those include: Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th U.S. President, who was born in Texas but raised in Kansas; Lyndon B. Johnson, 37th U.S. President, who finished J. F. Kennedy's term and then was re-elected for another term; George H. W. Bush, 41st U.S. President, who succeeded Ronald Reagan as President in 1988 and was defeated by Clinton in 1992; George W. Bush, 43rd U.S. President and son to George H. W. Bush, who succeeded Bill Clinton in 2000 and was re-elected in 2004. This list is not meant to be all-inclusive. Eisenhower and L B Johnson were born in Texas. GHW Bush and G W Bush both resided in Texas and held office there, but were both born in New England.
