Glucose is the main fuel of a cell. Glucose can be broken down in the presence of oxygen to form water, carbon dioxide and energy, this is called respiration. Glucose can also be broken down in the absence of oxygen to form either lactic acid, this is produced by humans, or ethanol, which is produced by bacteria and yeast. This process is called fermentation. Respiration results in far more available energy than fermentation.

What organelle provides the energy for the cell wall?

Plant cells have mitochondria just as animals cells do. These provide the energy for the production of cell walls.Cellulose is the substance that makes up most of a plant's cell walls. Plant cells make their own carbohydrates that they use for energy and to build their cell wall.

What produces most of the energy the cells need to carry out its function?

pretty sure the mitochondria.

What organelle makes food?

I think you mean plant cells right? Well the green organelles in plant cells are called chloroplast, and they are green because the chloroplast has a green photosynthetic pigment called chlorophyll.

What type of energy does a nuclear power plant produce?

A nuclear power plant produces electrical (electromagnetic) energy, or what most call electricity or electric power.

What is the site of energy production in a plant or animal cell?

The site of energy in either plant or animal cells are the mitochondria.

Where do human cells get most of the energy they need?

Human cells get most of the energy they need from the process of aerobic cellular respiration which occurs in the mitochondria. Aerobic cellular respiration produces about 34 molecules of ATP.

Do plant cells contain mitrochondrion?

Some, but every gets most or all of its energy from photosynisis

What produces the most energy the cells need to carry out its function?

mitochondria

Do plant cells have chloroplast and but animal cells don't?

Plant cells contain chloroplasts while animal cells don't. Chloroplasts in plants are used to capture the Sun's energy as molecules. Most animals get energy from the food they consume so they simply do not need chloroplasts, as opposed to plants, who mainly get nutrients from the soil and energy from the Sun.

All plant cells contain chloroplast?

Yes, all plant cells have chloroplasts. Plant cells are the only cells that have chloroplasts, actually. No- Most Cells of Plant Roots do not!

What is the function themitochondria?

Mitochondria is the rod-shaped structure that found in the cytoplasm. It is also known as "Power houses" as it produces most of the cells' energy. It produces the energy through the oxidation of the food substances such as glucose. Moreover, it also is a site of the cellular respiration.

What is the pigment found in most plant cells?

Chlorophyll is whats found in most plant cells and also makes the plant turn green.
