This is a meaningless question. Is there proof that there are NO weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? The only proof there can be of anything like bigfoot or WMD's in Iraq is proof that they DO exist. Short of that, there is always some degree of doubt. This is at the very nature of science; Science rarely if ever lands upon some fixed and forever unchanging truth. The process of science has more to do with eliminating faulty hypotheses or theories. The result is that we get closer and closer to models that show us how something really works.

They do have photos and videos of the creature. They also have recordings of it's call. They also have many footprint casts and body cast of where it was laying down.

No there has not been. The rumor may have started by someone telling something that is true and it gets mixed up over generations or someone may have mixed it up.
