Communication skills..... working with others and the general public Of course the love of animals is important, but hard physical work will be your best asset. Knowing the everyday life of an animal, from birth, through sickness, mating habits, common dangers and to their death, would be a prerequisite of working with animals. Which can be very rewarding. at high school it pays to study Biology and also do some volunteer work for zoos or spca
at university do zoology and animal behaviour based papers, some biology papers study in this area.

∙ 13y agoIn order to be a zoologist you need a bachelor degree in zoology or biology. It would also be recommended to have a graduate degree since may zoologist tend to have one, this is recommend for the lab or field tech. They should also have a interested in science, animals and great speaking skills in order to give lectures to students.
