pretty much all fruit have seeds, so if it has seeds, it qualifies as a fruit Not quite true: figs and pine cones both have seeds, yet neither is technically a fruit. A fruit is the ripened ovary – together with seeds – of a flowering plant.

A fruit develops from an ovary of a flower. A fruit has a seed inside (usually inside; some are more on the surface, like a strawberry) because it developed in a flower's ovule.

Vegetables do no not have seeds inside, because they don't develop directly from a flower.

simple: if it has seeds, its a fruit. exaples: apples, watermellons, lemons, and peaches.

No that is not the correct definition, pumpkin has seeds, capsicum has seeds but they are counted as vegetables.

A vegetable grows in the ground like vines and stuff, but fruits grow in trees, bushes, etc.

Very simply put: fruit contains seeds - while vegetables do not. Tomatoes, cucumbers & corn are all fruits. While lettuce, radishes, carrots, onions, etc., are all vegetables.
