Ancient Greece was not a unified country. It was a bunch of city-states, so they considered themselves their own country's you could say. They were always in wars with each other.

Anyways, the Persians were their enemies they hated each other. The Romans were eventually their enemy and took them over. As well as they were enemies with Thrace. They also had trade relations all over the water ways and with African civilizations.
