Lord Krishna advocates that everyone, all of His parts and parcels worship Him alone so they may be able to return home, back to Godhead, for eternal life of blissful knowledge. No other type of worship will give this result.

"Those who worship the demigods will take birth among the demigods; those who worship the ancestors go to the ancestors; those who worship ghosts and spirits will take birth among such beings; and those who worship Me will live with Me."Above answer is copy pasted answer of Dina Sharana Das.
You might presume that only Lord Krishna is to be worshiped. This is true. There is only one infinite God. Others are finite. So for the infinite results, you have to worship that infinite God only. There can not be two or more infinite Gods.
The further explanation fallows.
Lord Krishna says, "Whenever there is decline or destruction of Dharma and increase of growth of adharma (What is against dharma is adharma.), I take birth." (4/07. Bhagwadgeeta.)
That means Lord takes birth repeatedly. He has taken birth repeatedly.
It is the language and ego problem to say that God sends His son or sends a messenger. It is futile discussion. What is called as petrol in some part of the world is called as gas in USA.
So it is stupid to fight over the meaning of words. One should look into the advice of God. The advice is surprisingly same. So it is the most stupid thing to fight over His name and address.
The truth can not be two. It is one. When I read Bible, I repeatedly feel that I am reading Geeta, for example.

Krishna is the 8th avatar
There are no spiritual leaders of this religion. This religion depends entirely on God. Hindu's believe that God descended to Earth in many different forms to please the people of that time which is why Hindus have so many different gods. However, we do believe that our main God would be Vishnu (Krishna)
Lord Krishna isn't really a god but an Avatar of Vishnu. He just has powers of a god.
