What restaurants are open?

There is no simple way to tell which restaurants will be open on Thanksgiving.

To find a restaurant:

-Look for ads in your local paper a week or two before Thanksgiving.

-Check the local chain/franchise restaurants. They often stay open.

-Sometimes restaurants put a notice in their front window.

-If you like a certain restaurant, call them up, or drop in, and ask them.

You can also ask around to see if any of your friends or acquaintances can give you a lead. They may say 'We ate at SoAndSo's last year and it was very good. They honored our reservation right away, without making us wait, and they didn't rush us through the meal so the next people could have our table.'

Before you make your reservation, find out if they are having a special Thanksgiving meal or just their ordinary fare, and don't be afraid to ask how much they are charging! Some restaurants get very expensive on holidays.

Do not count on getting a table without a reservation!
