No, its not safe to mountain climb alone. If something were to happen, you wouldn't be able to get help right away, and it could be fatal, depending on what happened. Its better to be with someone, and I am sure that the company wouldn't hurt either :)

Here are some basic safety policies you should have in place before you go hiking. Remember this is only a guide and epending on the location, temperature and weather of where you are hiking you should always adhere to proper regulations and advice.

first aid kit is the most important. A first aid kit that has all the necessary items to help stop bleeding, remove objects, steralise objects, splint someone and equipment to keep the injured person safe is important.

-A sat phone that work properly is great for hiking in wilderness our mountaness land where normal phone reception is not available. You can use this device to contact local authorities when you are in immediate danger. These are very expensive to buy so I would suggest you hire one frome the shops. The prices for phone calls are extremely rediculous so don't use it to ring home and check on the dog.

-EPIRB an epirb is a emergency positioning indicating radio beacon. These are not to to expensive and will fix any problem you have in the bush. These divices are very small and compact and once activated release an emegency destress signal out. Instead of the local police comming in to the bush and helping you out you will have at least 2 helicopters ready to fly in and evac you out. DO NOT USE THIS FOR FUN. It is not a toy so that you can have helicopters, ASIO, Federal police, Dog squad and every other government agency come out and get you.

I would like to stress that water, a good pair of well fited hiking boots and a good quality pack will also help to keep you safe.

If you want anymore info as thi is only the start just send me a message and I will be happy to make a list of equipment for your destination.

By using ropes and harnesses. Also double checking to make sure all of you're knots are correct and double checking your partner or belayer. It is also safer to use a GriGri instead of an ATC while belaying because of the auto lock feature. If you're climbing outdoors you should wear a helmet. If you're bouldering you should have an experienced spotter to catch you if you fall.

How to Set Up a Rucksack for Winter Hiking Trips

Packing and planning for a camping or hiking trip might seem easy, but there are many things that go into having a good outdoor excursion. You need to know what to pack in order to survive in the wilderness and you also need to know when to go hiking so that you and your group are all safe. Before you actually go hiking, it is first important that you find a reputable hiking trail in your area. You can do this by looking for designated markers on the side of the road or asking a forest ranger who works in your county. The hiking trail you choose should be easy enough for your skill level. This means that you should not expect to take a trail that is for the advanced hiker when you are only starting out.

Next, you need to jot down a few different things to take with you. You need to make sure that you have a good quality bug spray on hand to keep flying insects away. The bug spray should not have any type of perfume to it because this could attract larger wildlife. You should also expect to go hiking with someone and you should never try walking or jogging a trail on your own. Other things that you should bring with you would include extra shoes and socks as well as plenty of water and refreshments. Make sure that you pack healthy snacks that are high in calories and protein so that you can keep your energy levels up.

You should also have a good quality army backpack to carry all of these things in. You want the bag to be waterproof so that it does not ruin anything if you were to drop it in a puddle. You can find most of these bags in sporting supply stores or local army surplus shops. Always make sure that you bring a first aid kit with you in case of emergencies. As far as when to go hiking, make sure that you are avoiding the hiking trail during bear or hunting season. Hunters may not necessarily know that you are a hiker walking a trail if it is hunting season.

It depends on the altitude you are going to be climbing at and if you have the right gear. But for me personally, I would never attempt to climb one.
