The Miami-Dade Public Housing Agency placed the applicants of section 8 housing assistance on a type of ranked waiting list compiled through a lottery-like system. The fairest way of choosing eligible families for the program is with the help of a waiting list. If an applicant has his ranking number selected from waiting list then he is required to bring a number of documents to the interview. Miami-Dade Housing Agency provide ranking of July 2008 waiting list for its tenant based Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher. Waiting list is sorted out by the last name of the applicant, and then the first name and it splits in three parts to make faster and easier for the applicants.
Most do not open for years, and some housing authorities purge , so that many who do not get service after so long , will have to apply again on the next open wait list.

Call to see if there, is currently a opening for Section 8, or you can look up the information HUD ( Housing Urban Development) in your local phone book. This information is usually found in the federal government section. CALL YOUR LOCAL HUD OFFICE/ HA ( Housing Authority) For better results, contact the nearest city to you, if your local HUD office waiting list is long... The goal is to get on the shortest waiting list.... Here's the key...........YOU MUST GET ON THE WAITING LIST FOR, JUST APPLYING FOR THE APPLICATION.... (The opening of each application process) You should apply to several waiting list in your area or area your area...........
