Hibbard Spencer Bartlett & Co sold guns with the Newport name as early as the 1880s, but a hammerless Newport double would have been made by either Crescent between 1903 and 1930 or Stevens after that. The HSB trade names were discontinued during or shortly after World War 2.
2-6 USD or so
Priceless, A TREASURE!!!!!!!!!!! worth if original, thousands.
Like 100 or 50 original cost like 200
Several lengths were available on Stevens double barrel shotguns. 30 inches would be the most common, but 28 or 32 would not be uncommon and 26, 34 or even 36 would not be impossible.
You still haven't told me what type of shotgun it is, but Newport was a Brand Name used by Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co, Chicago (1882-1962). If it is a double barrel sidelock with outside hammers, it was probably made by Crescent Arms Co, Norwich, CT. A double barrel hammerless boxlock more likely by J Stevens Arms Co, Chicopee Falls, MA. or a single shot exposed hammer by Iver Johnson, Fitchburg, MA. Regardless of the manufacturer, it is worth $75 or less for a single shot or $100-$150 for a double barrel.

We have SOME original parts for that model, we make others. sales@countrygunsmith.net
There is no need to start a double barrel. A double barrel shotgun needs to be loaded like you would a single barrel shotgun only using two bullets. You then cock the gun, aim, and fire.

This a double barrel shotgun. This is my second favorite shotgun in the world. The reason why it is called 12 Ga double barrel is that the barrel in 12 inches long, and every two shots, it has to be reload.
