What sensor is it that controls the dash light indicators for the four wheel drive and antilock brake system in a Dodge Dakota truck?

The Differential Speed Sensor that is mounted on the top/front of the rear differential. Spray it with some wd40 before trying to remove the retaining bolt and then pry it out.

No, an abs sensor will only affect antilock braking.

antilock brakes could lock up on any vehicle for various reasons. for ex, a wheel sensor/trigger wheel is dirty(mud) and the sensor can pick up the signal, the computer will not activate the antilock feature.if the antilock light is lighted on the dash the wheels will lock.
