It depends on weather you are shooting at targets or shooting at game. The scope you choose could be very different depending on the type of target. Tom Gaylord writes some very fine articles on this subject and how to select a scope for the target you want to shoot. See the link below

Depends entirely on the rifle. You may find a used bolt action .22 in fair condition for $50, or pay $2,000 for a new, high end match grade target rifle. Sort of like how much is a car? Depends on the car. Your best bet would be to visit a local gun shop, and talk with the staff. A rifle that is good for hunting small game or informal target shooting (plinking) should run around $125-$150 or so.
This was sort of answered already on another page; ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Flag Bearer for the Australian Olympic Team in London this year will be selected by the Chef de Mission of the Australian Team, Mr Nicholas Green OAM, generally in conjunction with senior members of the Australian Olympic Committee. The prestigious position of the Flag Bearer is often also referred to as the Olympic Team Captain and is usually given to one of the most experienced athletes in the team who has been a role model for the spirit and values of the Olympic movement and also for the sport that they represent. A degree of previous Olympic success is not a prerequisite, but is preferable. The announcement of the Olympic Flag Bearer will be made at the Australian Olympic Team Reception on Thursday evening (British Time) July 26th in London. Possible candidates for 2012 will include Natalie Cook OAM (Beach Volleyball), Michael Diamond OAM (Shooting), Cadel Evans (Cycling), Drew Ginn OAM (Rowing), Leisel Jones OAM (Swimming), Russell Mark OAM (Shooting), Anna Meares OAM (Cycling) and Sally Pearson (Athletics).
The "Spartakiad", or Spartacus Games, was a sort of Communist Bloc version of the Olympics. Named after Spartacus, the gladiator slave who led a revolt against Rome, it supposedly celebrated the purity of sport without the capitalist trappings that came with the more commercialized Olympic games.
He won seven crowns at the Pythian Games at Delphi (one as a boy), ten at the Isthmian Games, and nine at the Nemean Games. Milo was a five time Periodonikēs, a "grand slam" sort of title bestowed on the winner of all four festivals in the same cycle.
