During school pretty much anything that would be acceptable to the dress code. 12 is usually the age where people try to form their own identity so wearing clothes that express yourself is very important. There are so many different styles today so I would recommend mixing and matching to create unique outfits. There is no "right" way to dress because everyone is different. Also, if you are going for a certain look, makeup can really help with the whole effect.

long shirts (long tops, short dresses)
check tops (over white vest)
plain joggers (around the house,blue,brown,dark colours)
gladiator shoes
sandals
a 12 year old boy should wear:
long-sleeve shirts (black,brown,white)
denim jeans (dark or light)
cool belts (studded)
trainers (white-personally)
