1/2 dia bars @ 6 in c/c
The reinforcement resisting flexure (bending) in the direction of the span.
if length/breadth equal or greater than 2 then its oneway slab and reinforcement is on the short span because moments are great near the supports
Ans: One way slab is the slab having ratio of longer span to shorter span equal to or more than 1.5 . If the ratio of longer span to shorter span is equal to or less than 1.5, then such slabs are called as two way slab. In one way slab main tensile reinforcement is placed parellel to shorter side which will be the main steel, where as in two way slab both direction required main steel.
ly is the longest span of slab while lx is shortest span of slab
the ratio of Length of span / width of span = >2 or <2 Or where span of Slab is with in 3.6 m it is one way slab, and where span is more than 3.6 m it is two way slan.
Crank lengths are used because the moments at the edge strips are negative while that at mid span are positive so reinforcement are alternatively provided at the top and bottom respectively.. so just to have connection between the reinforcement and for the slab to behave as a single unit by providing continuous bars, cranking is done in slabs..
construction joints are leave in RCC Slab one third of span.
Yes waffle can be provided for 20m x 20m span but it becomes uneconomical
I think the bar along the span is main bar
Curtailment is a theoretical point where some of the reinforcement is cut-off along the span of the beam where the bending moment reduces, given that the remaining reinforcement will be able to support the reduced bending moment. (A.P Nangolo)
The basic difference between one way and two way slab is load distribution which is depends on support condition and span lengths.Mainly shorter span is carring larger load than longer span. This load distribution can be calculated considering the deflection at any point is same Shorter and Longer Span.
you didn't say how large the floor was but you should be able to install new 2x6 joist supporting mid ro third span as required bobp
