I'm not sure if Swedes is correct. But many people I know call them that.

Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland AND Iceland are known as the Nordic countries Norway, Sweden and Denmark are known as Scandinavia Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland don't have a collective name.
Both are used, but I believe that the people are more correctly called Swedes and the appropriate descriptor for items from Sweden is Swedish.
