What should you charge for babysitting?
Depends how many kids you're babysitting and what ages they are. I baby sit 3 kids ages 3, 5, and 9. I charge $5.00 per hour. Just whatever you and the parents think is fair.
Because you are just starting out, you need to have a lower babysitting rate than someone who is very experienced. However, I would not charge a flat rate. You should charge by the hour because it is your time and quality of care that you are being paid for. It would not be fair to receive twenty dollars for babysitting for one hour and then the same amount for five hours.
It depends on the amount of kids you are watching, and how long you will be babysitting. In my point of view, if you were babysitting one child, charge about $3+. So if you were babysitting five children, you would simply times your price of one child with the number of children you are tending. Confused? Here's some examples: say you were watching five children for three hours. The total profit would come to about…
It really depends on how old the children are. I, Being a babysitter as well, charge $5.00 an hour, for one child. If it is two children, I charge $10.00 an hour. In my opinion, it also depends on if they're a family friend. If that, I go a bit easy on them, and I don't charge that much. Have fun babysitting!
