What should you do if you are 13 and in love with a 17-year-old boy and he shows you all the signs that he loves you but you are afraid he is too old for you?

I think he may be a little too old for you. At 13 unless you are very mature and life experienced, you can have a very idealistic & romantic view of love and what it means to you. You maybe thinking that if you get together now, you'll be together forever, when that is quite unlikely as you'll change so much in yourself as you grow older and want different things even if you did stay together.

He maybe showing you signs that he loves you, or is it just that you are seeing everything he does as a sign that he loves you and you aren't really thinking straight because of your feelings for him? He may also realise that you're interested in him and use this information to his advantage, no matter how nice he seems right now. 17 year old boys are 'programmed' to be very interested in sex and not as interested in love and emotions.

Be very careful that you don't get used for sex and hurt in the process. It may be better to wait before dating guys older than yourself until you are more mature in yourself and you know what you want out of a relationship. I know boys your age probably seem very immature compared to yourself, but just be aware of what you maybe getting yourself into with older guys.
