What should you do if you have an above-ground pool with a sand filter and the pressure gauge is only reading at 5 but you changed the sand in the filter and it still won't raise the pressure?

You may need a new pressure gauge. They are inexpensive and can be found at any place that sells pool products.

That may be all that you are going to get out of the system you have.

What was the reading on the gage, while the system was running, before you changed it? Eight #'s pressure sounds about right but depends upon a few things. If it is reading zero with a new gage then you probably have a suction problem or there is no water flow. If you had higher gage readings before you replaced the gage maybe the filter was dirty. Have you backwashed the filter lately? k

The lower the pressure the less work the filter is doing, 7 to 10 psi is a good pressure. Another tip would be to put your hand by the outlet where the water goes back into the pool if the water pushes your hand away you have good pressure also take a pressure reading at the filter, if you put your hand at the outlet and the water does not push your hand away take a pressure reading, backwash the filter, put your hand at the outlet again if it pushes it away go back to the filter look at the gauge and see what it reads now, and that would be your suggested low pressure for your filter.

I dont belive there is a set test for a fuel filter,but, you can put a pressure gauge before the filter,get a reading and then put the guage after the filter and get another reading. But it would be easier to just install a new filter and be done with it. But be careful...gas is dangerous and stinky

Based on the information, I assume it is the fuel filter you changed, that you have good spark and have done a fuel pressure check. I doubt that ALL the injectors would be clogged. I would think the fuel pump is faulty.
