Don't panic. Try to massage the finger to circulate blood flow. Ice it to help stop bleeding and keep it from bruising more. If you want you can drain it. I was too scared to have it done, so I left it. My injury was really bad, but I took the pain. Take some pain relievers and ice it. If you don't go to a doctor, it may have a chance of being sprained or etc.. So get a splint or some type of sticks and put one in the front and one in the back and wrap it. Keep it like that for a couple of days or weeks. It helps relieve a Lot of pain and it will heal faster. Your finger might be completely black or just a little of it will be discolored; don't freak out. You may have a chance of losing the nail. But it will definitely grow back. To be sure, you might wanna get medical help...cause you never know...depending on how bad the injury is, your nail might not even grow back... I don't know if mine is going to though :/ But all I know is that the pains gone. My goal was just for the pain to go away :] I hope you feel better!

First, make sure it is not bleeding. If it is bleeding, then wash it off, put neosporin on it to prevent infections, and put a band-aid over that. Then, check if it is getting puffy or swollen. If it is getting puffy or swollen, put some ice on it for about 5-10 minutes, and then take it off so the swelling will go down. Finally, avoid using that finger too often after you jam your finger, so it can take its time to heal. If it isn't bleeding, puffy, or swollen, then the finger is fine and just needs about a 5 minute breake from usage.

First you should wait until most of the pain goes away. Then, try to put an ice pack on it. If it hurts to much to do that then don't do it. Your finger nail will probably frezz your blood if your right underneth you fingernail. This may be scary, but your finger nail will probably tell you that you blood is frozen to be moved . You should probably go to a doctor and get an X-Ray to make sure that it is not broken. If it is not broken after you been to the doctor just try not to do anthing with the hand that the finger got smashed. after a few day and it still hurts really bad go back to the doctor get whatever the docter tell you do it and it will heal much faster.

this happen to me once or twice so i am telling you the truth

Put ice on your finger it will help to numb the pain and slow the swelling. If the finger is bleeding you need to put a plaster or bandage on it. If the finger looks like it's at a strange angle you might have broken it and you will need to go to hospital to get it set. The finger will be swollen and sore for a couple of days and you might lose your nail but it will grow back. If it is still very swollen and painful after a week, see a doctor.
