Find out what is causing the knocking, more than likely this is not related to the accident, and simply a coincidence. If the shop feels it is accident related, then have them (or you) contact the adjuster and advise them of the same...Do not put this off, harder to get understanding if you call the adjuster and say, ''my engine is making this noise and has been for six months since the wreck'' ......... rather than immediately after finding out, you can understand that.....
engine knocking hard, and shaking a bit
NO. A knocking noise in the engine is a problem in the engine.
Engine knocking can be caused by numerous things. Having the incorrect spark plugs, carbon deposits on the cylinder walls, and being low on engine oil may all cause a knocking sound.
if your engine is knocking that means you need oil. go get an oil change or add a quart asap or the engine will burn out
if the engine is knocking really loud you probably need to overhaul the entire engine or get a new or used engine because loud knocking is not good
Detonation involves a supersonic exothermic. Knocking in a engine is spark-ignition internal combustion.
When the fuel in an engine cylinder ignites prematurely or unevenly to cause power fluctuations and a "knocking" sound. usually occurs when an engine is very how or improperly timed.
When your engine has a knocking noise, it could mean that a rod has been thrown. It could also mean you are low on oil.
Knocking is usually associated with worn main and rod bearings.
Pre-ignition in an engine may be detected by engine knocking.
NO it will not. If you have a knocking sound then you have trouble inside of the engine.
Adjust timing and/or quality of fuel
Lead was added to gasoline to inexpensively increase octane ratings and to also help reduce engine knocking.Increasing octane and reduce engine knocking are exactly the same thing, as the test method to measure octane of a fuel is to see when a standard engine begins knocking. The higher compression ratio the standard test engine can be operated at without knocking, the higher the octane of the fuel being tested.
Engine rod? Engine bearing?
The early 4.7 engine in the grand cherokee, dakotas, and rams have had problems with cylinders on the rear left of the engine, starting with a knocking then overheating and seizing .
l dont realy hav e clue but it seem it will be related to knocking in automobile engine l dont realy hav e clue but it seem it will be related to knocking in automobile engine
Cause low pressure oil pump
oil can be used to ludricate engine parts to avoid wear and knocking of engine.
When an engine is cold, the oil is thicker, and flows slower. When oil doesn't get to valvetrain components quickly, you'll hear knocking, also known as valvetrain clatter. As the engine warms up the knocking should go away.
can you elaborate? engine noise? stationary/moving? ticking, tapping or a definite knocking?
