What should you do if you haven't got your period and its been a week since you were supposed to get it?

You should take a pregnancy test if there's a chance that you could be pregnant. If there's not a chance that you're pregnant and your next period is late or missing you should see a doctor to get checked out early on in case anything's wrong (which is unlikely).
It could be late because you are either stressed , not eating right or maybe you're on medication. It could be a few factors. If you think you're pregnant wait 3 weeks after sex to take a pregnancy test because that is when the levels of pregnancy hormone will be high enough for a test to detect. If you missed your period and didn't have sex it might be what I mentioned above earlier about stress and not eating properly.

∙ 15y agoWell if you aren't in fact pregnant then these are some possible causes: If you are not on the pill then it could just be the fact that you are having it late, many periods are not right on time. If you are on the pill and just came off of it, it could be that your body is adjusting to the hormonal change and your cycle will adjust a little. Stress is another huge factor as to when your period happens or doesn't happen. Excessive weight gain or loss is another factor, as well as a thyroid problem.

Most people on the depo shot do not get their period. i was on it for about 7 years and only had my period for about the first year

In theory, you can't since you got your period which means that the zygote did not settle or the ovule was never fecundate. However, this is kinda weird since there is, for all women (and girls) exactly 14 days between the release of the ovule and the start of the period.

almost certainly you have been POST manopausal since you missed your period for 12 months in a row. Most likely at about age 50. Put another way; if you havent had a period in the last 12 months you are POST MENOPAUSAL
