I think slacks (like black or khaki pants) and nice button-up shirt would look nice. You could wear nice sandals (not flip-flops) or shoes, and a belt if the slacks have belt loops. I don't think you'd need to wear anything dressier than that. Make sure you don't wear anything too tight or revealing! Good luck!

If I were going to a bar for example to apply for a job as waitress, I'd dress accordingly. I don't think that anyone who has ever worked in a bar especially a woman needs an explanation on how to dress for that kind of job, but just in case you do, I'd dress in the same fashion that the other girls working there do. How would I know what the other girls wear? I'd go to the bar in question, sit down, order a drink and observe how the other waitresses dress, and handle themselves when it comes to the customers. If for example all of the other girls wore short skirts, then that's the way I'd show up for my interview and the same thing can be said for anything that the others would be wearing.

You don't have to worry about the boss seeing you, he sees you and thinks that you are just another customer and if his memory is good this could work out well for you, if he remembers you, and asks were you at his bar a day or so ago, you could always tell him yes, I wanted to see how the ladies who work here dress so that I could present myself in an orderly fashion. I think he'd appreciate the fact that you took the time to check out what could become your future job.

that depends on your hair color but something like a nice tank top and a nice skirt that reaches your knees not too bright on the colors but not too dull either

OK......I'm only going to say this once. I don't care what the title for the job is, what it actually is, that part doesnt matter. Your doesnt really matter for that fact either. Since its how you present yourself and how your attitude is.

When you go for a job interview you always want to dress as you would for church. It is a sign of respect to your employer and it will also tell me that you really want this position (if it is one where you normally wouldn't wear those type of clothes). I have hired people for anything from janitorial, car washing kid up to Senior VP.

So i would tell you a nice skirt that goes to your knees, nylons, nice shoes and a nice blouse. You could also wear nice pants "black or khaki". If you don't have a nice blouse or pants/skirt i would say the goodwill has a lot of decent stuff if you don't have a lot of money. You don't need to spend a lot to look good.

If you showed up in jeans and a tank top, i would think that you don't really care....to be honest.

You should wear exactly what the employees (who are working at the job your want) are wearing. It should be clean, fairly new with a proper fit and unwrinkled. If you want to be really safe, wear similar colors - look like you understand the culture and are ready to start!

If it were me, I would wear a business attire. For me, regardless if the positon is part-time or full-time, retail, or business, I would still dress in business attire. It leaves a good impression on the interviewer.
