ballerinas should be very long and lean and seem very skinny and light. Although you can not be too skinny because then you are too weak and cant the job done. But there is no specific weight that you HAVE to be a ballerina, that's what makes every ballerina different and special.
As a dancer you do need to keep your weight down, wearing leotards and tights (at least at my studio we do). For serious Ballet you should weigh anywhere from 95-105 but nothing lower. Anything lower and you'll lose your strength and balance and ruin everything you've worked for (unless you have a smaller than small frame) You should try to keep it under 105 but if you have a larger frame- which most ballet dancers don't- then it's okay but 110 is the highest you could really go to do serious ballet. Other types of dance you should have a BMI of around 18.7-20.9. (those are the requirements for my studio). As long as you have a nice body line, healthy diet, and regular intense training sessions you should be fine! Just stay as strong, and slim as possible.
u dont have to be a certain weight to be a dancer, but if you're referring to ballet, its probably thin. a 120lb probably
A ballet dancer should always be comfortable in their own skin and perform with whats natural, you should never feel embarrassed about the way you look especially if your a dancer
