In a 1998 Ford Escort ZX2 :
The 2.0 liter , DOHC , Zetec four cylinder engine takes the :

1998 Ford Ranger
There isn't any
On a 1998 Ford Explorer : The mass air flow sensor is between the engine air filter and the big rubber engine air intake tube
I would say NO ( I was looking at the 1998 Ford Crown Victoria Owner Guide and it doesn't show anything about it having a cabin air filter )
Go to an Auto Parts store and ask for a cabin filter for a 1998 Ford Ranger. If it has one they will sell you one. Inctructions come with a Purolator cabin filter. I suspect it does not have one.
Close, but no cigar... It is UNDER the air filter. Remove the air filter box from your engine side wall. It is right underneath that.
There is NO cabin air filter for the 1998 Ford F150. I was sold one, later to find out it didn't exist. No for some STUPID reson Ford figured we dont need one...
On a 1998 Ford Explorer : The Mass Air Flow Sensor is between the engine air filter and the big engine air intake tube
You will find the mass air flow sensor INSIDE the round plastic housing between the engine air filter and the engine air intake tube on your 1998 Ford Escort ( you can see where the wiring connects )
There isn't one.
On a 1998 Ford Windstar : The Mass Air Flow sensor is between the top section of the engine air filter housing and the engine air intake tube
