Only your local auto parts store can give you the correct size and brake line for the type or model of vehicle you have.
Doesn't have a bleeder valve on the master. You have to bleed the brake system at the wheels.
Seems like your master cylinder is bad!
Master cylinder.
Check master cylinder for fluid level Check around all wheels for a fluid leak or bad wheel cylinder The reason you can pump brake up without engine running is that you are emptying the vacuum reservoir and no longer have power (vacuum) assist
Check the master cylinder first.
Fluid leak - check wheels for sign of leakage Bad master cylinder
The master cylinder MUST be bleed first before any bleeding at the wheels can occur. if you do not do this, you will be bleeding for hours.
there is no bleeder valve on a master cylander. u need to crack a fluid line open on cylander and bleed from there and from all wheels there is no bleeder valve on a master cylander. u need to crack a fluid line open on cylander and bleed from there and from all wheels
First things first. Compare the old to the new to make sure you have the correct replacement parts. And always SAFETY FIRST. To replace the master cylinder you will need to remove the air filter cover and snorkle tube. Remove the wiring harness from the mastercylinder reservoir then disconnect all four brake lines from it. Next remove the two retaining screws securing it to the brake booster.Transfer all needed items to your new master cylinder and put back on in reverse order. Bleed all four brake lines at the master cylinder and at the wheels and you are off and running again.
either you have lost your brake fluid through a leak or you need a new brake master cylinder (the type of master cylinder varies according to if you have anti-lock brakes on all wheels, just the back, or not at all)
yes.
If there is fluid leaking in or on the wheels, your problem is most likely there at the leak. When the fluid fails to reach the wheels is when the master cylinder would be in question. Most often if you find and repair the leak, you have fixed the problem. After fixing the leak, make sure you fill your fluid to the full mark after you bleed the brakes to prevent any air from corrupting the system.
