It is a special 2 9/16 inch socket just for axle nuts.

It will vary from one make/model/year to another. For example, most Dodge minivans need a 1 1/4 inch socket. A Dodge Intrepid needs a 1 5/16 inch socket. A 1994-2001 four wheel drive Dodge truck needs a 1 11/16 inch socket.

A socket set with sizes ranging from 10-18mm, a transmission jack or equivalent (I used a motorcycle jack and 6 pieces of 4x4 dunnage)

you have to remove the spindle and press the old ones off
i got whole spindle on in less than hour and half
on the top of the truck
A 2001 Dodge truck does not have a speedometer cable. The speed signal comes from the rear axle speed sensor. (the sensor on top of the center of the rear axle)
