The starter solenoid on a Dodge Dakota is built on the starter.

The starter solenoid is part of the starter.
The 1996 Dodge Dakota starter relay switch can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The starter relay switch will be on the drivers side of the firewall.
Its 15mm on my '97
the solenoid is mounted on the starter. They don't mount them on the fenderwell anymore.
5/8 inch socket will fit the bolt and nut that hold the starter on.
You have to remove the steering intermediate shaft and remove the starter from the top.
