There is no food that is special in Egypt.

One of the problems that is presented to the Israelites immediately they leave Egypt include security and where to get food. The Egyptians sent an army to pursue and kill the Israelites.
Because there was a famine in Israel and the only place to get food was in Egypt. They went to Egypt and instead of becoming citizens they were forced into slavery.

yes they complained about the food so God sent them quail and fish. Those who ate too much got sick and died (Numbers ch.11).
When Moses was leading the people in the wilderness and they got fed up of eating manna each day , nd wanted good food that they had in Egypt.
referred to as "bread of poverty", Matzah recalls the food that the Israelites ate when they were slaves. It also recalls the rapid liberation of the Israelites, which happened so fast that they did not even have time to allow the bread for the journey to rise before setting out from Egypt.

The Isaraelites started to complain to Moses about the food as they only had manna to eat , but they ate their fill in Egypt of quail., and they also grumbled with Moses over the shortage of water.
