The following things can speed up a chemical reaction:

- Increasing the temperature (which increases kinetic energy of particles.)

- Increasing the concentration (which allows for more particle collisions.)

- Agitation (or stirring, which allows for more particle collisions.)

- Adding a catalyst (a substance which lowers the activation energy of a reaction, making it easier for the reactants to combine. The catalyst, however, does not participate or get used up in the reaction)

- Increasing the pressure

- The granulation of the reactants (if they are solids): powders react easily.
