The earliest surviving home in which Poe lived is in Baltimore, preserved as the Edgar Allan Poe House and Museum. It is located at located at 203 North Amity St. in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Edgar Allan Poe Museum is a different museum located in Richmond, Virginia - although Poe never lived there; he did live in Richmond from 1810 when he was taken in by the Allan family (after he was orphaned) until around 1827 when he enlisted in the Army. No childhood home of Poe is still standing, including the Allan family's Moldavia estate.
