A "loaded" question. . . The definitions of "weapon" and "gun" are different in all 50 states, and the laws are continually changing. As of the beginning of September 2012, it is illegal to carry a concealed weapon in all states except Alaska, Arizona, and Vermont.

You need to define "automatic guns". SEMI-automatic firearms are legal in all 50 states. FULLY automatic guns (machine guns) have been strictly regulated under Federal law since 1934. Their possession- when properly licensed, is legal in most states, but is still subject to limitations. They are not permitted to be owned by most private citizens in CA, DE, DC, HI, NY, WA.

Pellet guns are not federally regulated. They are, however, illegal in a few states and municipalities. They are illegal in the states of California, Michigan, and Illinois.
