It depends where in the world you live. Generally you have to be 12 yrs. old to stay home alone but check your local laws.

There is no law addressing this.
No, an underage child with autism cannot stay home alone in the state of Florida. It doesn't matter whether the child is autistic or not, if they are underage then they cannot stay home alone. Leaving the child alone would be illegal and they may get into trouble while alone.
It is against Florida state law for an 11 year old to be left home alone with a sibling. A child must be 12 before they can stay home alone and 15 before the are permitted to babysit.

The state of Texas does not have a minimum age law stating when a child is old enough to be left home alone. Leaving teenagers at home alone overnight, is not recommended.
because it's against the law. Silly.
As long as the parents trust them to be alone. There is no law or regulation, it is a matter of what makes sense.
To properly answer your question, we would have to know which state you are referring to.

Yes it is. I'm pretty sure all of the country's law is that a child may not stay home alone under the age of 16.

Well there's no law that says you cant leave your child home alone unless there like 2 but its up to the parent if they trust a babysitter than any age is ok if an adult is present but if they are going to be home alone i would say you need to have a sit down with the child and tell them what to do and what not to do like playing with the stove etc. but i would recommend not leaving him/her alone unless they are about 12 or 13 but that's just my opinion
Because you have to be mature enough, Because what if you were really badly hurt and no one would know until your parent/caregiver came home.
