The ureters, in both males and females, transports the urine from the kidneys to the bladder where it is stored until it is convenient to release through the urethra. This release is called micturition, or more commonly, urination.

Urine is formed in the distal tubules of the nephron in the kidneys. It accumulates in the renal pelvis, then travels down the ureters to the bladder.

Then it goes through the urethra to the outside.

The path of urine in male and female frogs start from the kidneys, down the ureter, through the urinary bladder. It exits through the cloaca.

Most frogs, especially terrestrial species, can store their urine so they can survive if conditions become dry. Most species will spill their urine if being handled.

Urine is produced in the kidneys. The urine leaves the kidneys and travels downward to the urinary bladder via the ureter. When the bladder is full, or when the frog is surprised, the urine leaves the body via the cloaca.
