There really isn't a vet nursing speciality. A Certified Vet Tech (CVT) or a Registared Vet Tech (RVT) is who performs the nursing duties in a vet clinic. To be registared or certified you need to graduate from an AVMA (American Vet Med Assc) accredited program and take the VTNE (Vet Tech National Exam) with in 6 months of graduation.
Veterinary nursing is quite flexible and varies a little from college to college, so i would recommend looking at the particular college sites you are interested in!
However to do veterinary medicine you need AAB (However i would suggest aiming as high as you can and for AAA) You will need to get an A at chemistry and A at biology however you can chose the 3rd subject but it should be either math/physics. Not general studies they will not count this!
In undergraduate work you would study chemistry (inorganic, organic and biochemistry), physics, zoology, anatomy, microbiology, genetics, calculus, some business/finance/economics.
In veterinary college you study anatomy, histology, pathology, the various body systems, epidemiology, business management, molecular biology, etc.
Some are science and english. English is so you get better at public speaking.
you need maths and science most importantly chemistry but biology would be very useful
Might I suggest spelling?
