To get the energy they need. The main objective of plants producing glucose is so that it can survive. Yes, believe it or not, plants need glucose as well. They also serve to nourish the animals that are higher up the food chain.

Photosynthesis.

Water + Carbon dioxide + Sunlight = Oxygen + Glucose

The oxygen

in the cell lies a mitochondrion which helps gives the plants glucose (glucose is a sugar molecule) by taking in glucose and energy and releases carbon dioxide (c20) water (h20) and SUGAR!!!

plants have two "tubes" running up and down the plant. One is called the xylem, which transports inorganic substances from the roots upwards, towards the leaves. The other is called the phloem, which transports organic substances manufactured in the leaves to all parts of the plant.

What does the plant do with the sun it absorbs?

Plants absorb the sun's energy for use during photosynthesis. During photosynthesis, plants take energy & water and convert it into glucose. Glucose is a sugar that the plant then uses as food.

How do the native starches develop in the plant?
