There are a number of physical features that surround Honduras. The Caribbean Sea and South Pacific Ocean form the main borders while Guatemala is on the west, Nicaragua in the south east and El Salvador in the south west.

Honduras is in Central America and is not an island, so it is not surrounded by an ocean. Its north coast is on the Caribbean Sea, and it has a small southren coast on the Gulf of Fonseca which leads to the Pacific Ocean. Honduras also has land borders with Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua.
