A dollar sign is used to indicate absolute references. An absolute reference will always have two dollars:
$A$2
If there is only one dollar like $A2 or A$2 then it is a mixed reference, not an absolute reference. If there are no dollars like A2 then it is relative.
The $ symbol:
$A1
A$1
$A$1
The $ symbol. $A$1 is an absolute cell reference.
The dollar sign, like this:
$A$1
Dollar Sign ($)
+ is the symbol
The symbol for the operation of absolute value is |n| but I don't know why a common symbol is needed.....

There is no symbol for "actual" in Excel, but there is a function to display absolute value (ABS).
A chemical symbol represents an element. A chemical formula represents a compund. a chemical formula is like this H2O, that is water, a chemical symbol is just this H, that is hydrogen.

Hg is the chemical symbol of mercury.
A chemical symbol represents a single atom of an element, but a formula represents a chemical entity with constant composition that contains at least two atoms.A chemical symbol represents a single atom of a chemical element, but a chemical formula represents the types and numbers of atoms in a chemical entity larger than a single atom. The entity is called a molecule if the compound is covalently bonded and a formula unit if the entity is ionically bonded.

A single atom of an element is represented by that element's chemical symbol.
