It depends on the type of cell. It also depends on the type of energy. In animals, Mitochondria convert oxygen to food. Plants also use mitochondria, but they also have chloroplasts which use light energy and turn it into sugars, which plants use as food, energy, and growth material! Animals use it as just energy.

The Digestive system takes what it needs until you excrete the leftovers out that's how if you smuggle drugs inside your anus and it leaks into your digestive track you will get high extremely fast due to the absorption of the intestines

What is a Mitochondrias?

The mitochondria's job is to provide energy for cells. It produces ATP adenosine triphosphate which is used by the cells.

What transports sugar to cells where they are used?

The digestive system breaks down the sugars from food and puts it into the blood stream and the circulatory system transports that to individual cells for cell respiration

What is the organelle that converts food energy to a form that can be used by the cell?

Vacuole

What plant cells carry food?

All plant cells contain some nutrients, however, the cells of the seed, fruit and root tend to be used for food storage. The nutrients are transported around the plant by phloem cells in the vasculature.

What converts chemical energy stored in food into a form that can be easily used by the cell?

The process known as glycolysis, which takes sugar from food, and breaks it down to make ATP (adenosine triphosphate).

How do the mitochondria help the animal cells?

The mitochondrion converts food energy another form in which is used by the cell to provide energy to the animal

What happen if the digestive system was not function?

The digestive system is what converts regular food that we eat into useful form of nutrients which can be used by the rest of the body. Without these nutrients, the other organs would eventually shut down and die. The body does have the capability to convert energy from fat cells for use in the rest of the body. I'm not sure if this is a function of the digestive system, though.

What is solar cells used for?

A solar cell or photovoltaic cell is a device that converts light directly into electricity by the photovoltaic effect.

When you consume food what cells does it go to?

food is used up by all the cells in the body as all the cells need energy to perform their functions

Does oxygen carry energy to cells or does it only burn food?

Oxygen is used to break down energy which is then used in cells.
