Mohammed (also Muhammad, Muhammad ibn Abdullah, 570-632 AD) was an Arab, born in Mecca, who engaged in solitary meditation for 18 years in the nearby mountains.

In Islam, he is the last Prophet of Allah, whose revelations became the oral recitations (and later the written texts) of the Qu'ran.

Prophet Muhammad was the prophet of Islam religion per revelation of Quran to him that reflects real God (Allah in Arabic) words revelation to him through the Angel Gabriel (Jibril). He was born in Mecca (or Makkah) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in year 570 AD. He started receiving Quran God revelation in year 610 AD through the year 632 AD (year of his death).

Refer to related link below for more related information.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was in charge of:

  1. Announcing and conveying the Quran message
  2. Teaching people and guiding them to the right path
  3. Promising the believers and monotheists with good God rewards and warning the atheists and polytheists.
  4. Serving as a real human model for the good morals and ethics that anyone should follow in his life
  5. Being witness

As detailed below:

  • Announcing and conveying the Quran message, real words of God (Allah in Arabic), to the people of the world. These God words were revealed by God to prophet Muhammad through the Angel Gabriel (Jibril); started in year 610 AD through year 632 AD (year of prophet Muhammad death).

Quran says:

Meaning English translation:

{ O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people. (67)}

[Quran, chapter 5, verse 67]

and says

كَذَٰلِكَ أَرْسَلْنَاكَ فِي أُمَّةٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهَا أُمَمٌ لِّتَتْلُوَ عَلَيْهِمُ الَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ وَهُمْ يَكْفُرُونَ بِالرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۚ قُلْ هُوَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ مَتَابِ ﴿٣٠﴾ {We have sent you to a nation before whom there lived many nations so that you would read to them what We have revealed to you. They still deny the existence of the Beneficent God. Say, "He is my Lord besides whom there is no other God. I trust Him and turn to Him in repentance." (30)} [Quran, chapter 13, verse 30]

and says:

{ Indeed, in this [Qur'an] is notification for a worshiping people. (106) And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds. (107) Say, "It is only revealed to me that your god is but one God; so will you be Muslims [in submission to Him]?" (108) But if they turn away, then say, "I have announced to [all of] you equally. And I know not whether near or far is that which you are promised. (109)}

[Quran, chapter 21, verses 106-109]

and says:

{He who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah; but those who turn away - We have not sent you over them as a guardian. (80)}

[Quran, chapter 4, verse 80]

  • Teaching people and guiding them to the right path

Quran says:

Meaning English translation:

{Certainly did Allah confer [great] favor upon the believers when He sent among them a Messenger from themselves, reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom, although they had been before in manifest error. (164)}

[Quran, chapter 3, verse 164]

  • Promising the believers and monotheists with good God rewards and warning the atheists and polytheists.

Quran says:

Meaning English translation:

{ And with the truth We have sent the Qur'an down, and with the truth it has descended. And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. (105) }

[Quran, chapter 17, verse 105]

and says:

{And We have not sent you except comprehensively to mankind as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. But most of the people do not know. (28)}

[Quran, chapter 34, verse 28]

  • Serving as a real human model for the good morals and ethics that anyone should follow in his life. You find in prophet Muhammad (PBUH) the models for the boy, the orphan, the poor, the rich, the merchant, the buyer, the seller, the borrower, the warrior, the peace seeker, the brother, the companion, the traveler, the worshiper, the husband, the father, the grand father, the state man, the judge, the leader, the ruler, ....

Quran says:

{A Messenger from your own people has come to you. Your destruction and suffering is extremely grievous to him. He really cares about you and is very compassionate and merciful to the believers. (128)} [Quran, chapter 9, verse 128]

and says:

{ (Muhammad), you are not insane, thanks to the bounty of your Lord. (2) You will certainly receive a never-ending reward. (3) You have attained a high moral standard. (4)} [Quran, chapter 68, verses 2-4]

  • As witness:

Quran says:

Meaning English translation:

{ So how [will it be] when We bring from every nation a witness and we bring you, [O Muhammad] against these [people] as a witness? (41) }

[Quran, chapter 4, verse 41]

and says:

{And [mention] the Day when We will resurrect among every nation a witness over them from themselves. And We will bring you, [O Muhammad], as a witness over your nation. And We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tidings for the Muslims. (89) Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded. (90)}

[Quran, chapter 16, verses 89-90]

and says:

{And thus we have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you...}

[Quran, chapter 2, verse 143]

More information

Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is the last prophet of God Almighty sent to the world after Jesus (PBUH), he will be the prophet until judgment day and no other prophet will be sent to this world by God Almighty.

He was a prophet of God just like all Jesus and others. He was the last prophet of Allah and Muslims believe that no prophet will come after him. He did not come with a radically new religion but came to perfect earlier religions. He revitalised the teachings of the earlier religions like Christainity and Judaism which were perfect when revealed but later corrupted.

He was given the book Quran which is the only divine book that has remained safe from human alterations and has remained just the way it was revealed 1400 years ago. He also was given many miracles like splitting of moon which has been proved true by NASA recently.

He was born in Mecca (or Makkah), Saudi Arabia in 571 A.D. He was reputed to be decent and well mannered from childhood. As a young man, he did trading with neighboring countries and also minded the herds of tribesman in Makkah. His repute of honesty was such that Khadija, her employer asked him to marry her and so he married her at age of 25.

He declared his prophethood at age of 40 years. After that he had to face atrocities of the pagans of Makkah and so he migrated to Madinah ( Yathrib ). There he established the Islamic empire and demonstrated the rules of Islam to his people. He breathed his last at the age of 63 years in Medina (or Madinah), Saudi Arabia

Jesus (PBHU) and Moses (PBUH) prophesied Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in both Old and New testaments which Christians altered and changed it to vague and different interpretation. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is also prohesized in Hinduism, Buddhism and Parsism.( see prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in world religious scriptures below)

The three monotheistic religions - Judaism, Christianity, and Islam - all purport to share one fundamental concept: belief in God as the Supreme Being, the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe. Known as Tawhid in Islam, this concept of the Oneness of God was stressed by Moses in a Biblical passage known as the "Shema" or the Jewish creed of faith:

"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord." (Deuteronomy 6:4)

It was repeated word-for-word approximately 1500 years later by Jesus when he said:

"...The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord." (Mark 12:29)

Muhammad (PBUH) came along approximately 600 years later, bringing the same message again:

"And your God is One God: There is no God but He, ..." (The Quran 2:163)

Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in Old Testament

The Qur'an mentions in Surah Al-Araf chapter 7 verse 157:

"Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures) in the law and the Gospels"

Almighty God speaks to Moses in Book ofDeuteronomy chapter 18 verse 18

"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto you, and I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."

It's mentioned in the book of Deuteronomy 18:19

"If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account. "

It's mentioned in the book of Deuteronomy 18:20

" But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death."

Prophet Mohammad (PUH) preached the oneness of God for 23 years but was not killed by anyone. He did complete his job. Allah (swt) says in the holy Quran:

Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) preached that there is only ONE GOD. But the Bible says if the prophet speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is mentioned by name in the Song of Solomon chapter 5 verse 16:

"Hikko Mamittakim we kulloMuhammadim Zehdoodeh WA Zehraee Bayna Jerusalem."

Translation:"His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is Mohammad. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem."

In the Hebrew language im is added for respect. Similarly it is added after the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to make it Muhammadim. In English translation they have even translated the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as "altogether lovely", but in the Old Testament in Hebrew, the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is yet present.

. DEUTERONOMY 33:2

He (Muhammad pbuh) shined forth from mount Paran (in Arabia), and he came with ten thousand saints. (Referring to the conquest of Makkah). (d)

DEUTERONOMY 32:21:

and I (God Almighty) will move them (the Jews) to jealousy with those (the Arabs) which are NOT A PEOPLE (a non-entity): I will provoke them (the Jews) to anger with a FOOLISH NATION," |the pre-Islamic Arabs)

Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in NEW Testament

Gospel of John chapter 14 verse 16:

"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever."

Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 7:

"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you".

"Ahmed" or "Muhammad" meaning "the one who praises" or "the praised one" is almost the translation of the Greek word Periclytos. In the Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26, and 16:7. The word 'Comforter' is used in the English translation for the Greek word Paracletos which means advocate or a kind friend rather than a comforter.

Paracletos is the warped reading for Periclytos. Jesus (pbuh) actually prophesised Ahmed by name. Even the Greek word Paraclete refers to the Prophet (pbuh) who is a mercy for all creatures.

Some Christians say that the Comforter mentioned in these prophecies refers to the Holy Sprit. They fail to realize that the prophecy clearly says that only if Jesus (pbuh) departs will the Comforter come. The Bible states that the Holy Spirit was already present on earth before and during the time of Jesus (pbuh), in the womb of Elizabeth, and again when Jesus (pbuh) was being baptized, etc. Hence this prophecy refers to none other than Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Gospel of John chapter 15 verse 26:

"But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me."

Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 12-14:

"I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you unto all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me".

Jesus said. He shallglorify me", He shall Testify me".

Mohammad (PBUH) is the only one after Jesus whoTestifies andGlorifies Jesus (PBUH) as exactly as Jesus (PBUH) prophesied.

Jesus (PBUH) said there will come many false prophet after me, but the true prophet will be the one who prophesies come true. Read the holy Quran ( the words of God Almighty ) and the prophesies by Prophet Mohammad (PBHU) which fulfilled exactly as its prophesied 1400 years ago.

Read prophesies of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

Muhammad was the greatest prophet as well as the last one. He was sent from god as a messenger and warner. He was sent with a holy book known as the Qur'an.

Muhammad was a messenger of God

Prophet Mohammed (pr Muhammad); peace be upon him; is God messenger to all people to call them to worship Allah (or God and same God in Christianity and Judaism) as the one and only one with no partner, no son, no father, no companion, no associate, and no equivalence. Prophet Muhammad calls people to follow the holy book Quran as revealed to him by God through the angel Gabriel (Jibril). Prophet Muhammad calls people to good morals and to do do good deeds for the benefit of the community and mankind. Refer to questions below.
Mohammed was a very religious, political, and military leader that was from Mecca and born on June 8, 632.

Almighty Allah created humans and had been sending prophets to guide them to the right path. He sent about 1,24,000 Prophets (May peace be upon them all). The last to come was Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). He preached the same message as was preached by earlier prophets - basic being the ONENESS of Almighty Allah Who deserves worship. Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) is a prophet because Almighty Allah chose him to be a prophet and to preach to all human beings Islam. He is the universal messenger and the Lamp that spreads light of true guidance. He has been sent as Mercy for all creatures. His life presents the best pattern to be followed. The sayings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa SAW guide us in all matters of life. He says, "None among you can be a believer in God, unless he wishes for his brethren that he wishes for himself. A Muslim is one from whose hands and tongue other Muslims are safe. God is not compassionate to one who is not compassionate to his fellow-beings. Do not associate aught with Allah, even if you are cut to pieces or set to fire."

Muhammed was a pedophile because he had intercourse with a 9 year old girl. By her own words. That makes him a pedophile because he was able to do that. To say it was common to marry girls that age is false. Pedophiles would buy them, that it where the tradition began. The tradition today continues and it is always with pedophiles. No man that has sex with a child is anything but a pedophile. Even if Muhammed had sex with a 16 year old at his age that makes him a freak and no prophet of the same God of Isaak and Abraham would choose a freak as a prophet.

The last and final prophet that God sent to humanity was the Prophet Muhammad.

Muhammad explained, interpreted and lived the teachings of Islaam.

The Prophet Muhammad is the greatest of all prophets for many reasons, but mainly because the results of his mission have brought more people into the pure belief in One God than any other prophet.

Even though other religious communities claimed to believe in One God, over time they had corrupted their beliefs by taking their prophets and saints as intercessors with Almighty God.

Some religions believe their prophets to be manifestations of God, "God Incarnate" or the "Son of God". All of these false ideas lead to the creature being worshipped instead of the Creator, which contributed to the idolatrous practice of believing that Almighty God can be approached through intermediaries. In order to guard against these falsehoods, the Prophet Muhammad always emphasised that he was only a human-being tasked with the preaching of God's message. He taught Muslims to refer to him as "the Messenger of God and His Slave".

To Muslims, Muhammad is the supreme example for all people - he was the exemplary prophet, statesman, military leader, ruler, teacher, neighbour, husband, father and friend. Unlike other prophets and messengers, the Prophet Muhammad lived in the full light of history. Muslims don't need to have "faith" that he existed and that his teachings are preserved - they know it to be a fact. Even when his followers only numbered a few dozen, Almighty God informed Muhammad that he had be sent as a mercy to all of mankind. Because people had distorted or forgotten God's messages, God took it upon Himself to protect the message revealed to Muhammad. This was because Almighty God promised not to send another messenger after him.

Since all of God's messengers have preached the message of Islaam - i.e. submission to the will of God and the worship of God alone - Muhammad is actually the last prophet of Islaam, not the first.
