All different things eat newt and salamanders, things like large fish, snakes, and really anything that may be in a basic living area of a newt and/or salamander that is bigger than either of them. But if you are looking to get rid of newts, then you may want to call pest control and ask for their advice, though since I love salamanders I am strongly against killing them, instead try wearing non-powdered latex gloves and careful removing them and placing them in a fresh water environment filled with large mammals or fish.
Newts are eaten by mainly carnivore fish, larger newts or frogs, small mammals and several birds. Their eggs and larva however are much smaller and are eaten by aquatic insects and their larva.
Newts eat many types of insects, slugs, worms, and fish. The insects they eat are crickets, houseflies and worms (bloodworms, earthworms, tubifex, and nightcrawlers).
A newt - is an amphibian - in that it can breathe air as well as breathe underwater through its gills.
