jhon masfield was born in england.1902 onwards he began to write poems.the west wind reminds the poet of his homeland which is in west the poet calls this wind a warm wind and says that it is full of bird cries he says that no sooner does he hear the west wind tear came in his eyes this happens becoz he is reminded of the fact that he is away from home living in a place that he could not make him like becoz it comes frm west wind is more fortunate than thepoet as it has witnessed all those things which the poet has left behind--the old brown hills,the daffodils west winds freshens up the memory and makes the poet remember all that it was beautiful about his homeland and it create nostalgia[ feeling of homesickness] that he feels for his home the west wind brings back the memories of the beauties of nature,and seeks to speak to him,calling him brother to entice his home the messsage is one which can be understood by anyone who has been away from home for a long time. this was abt a poet who is remembering of his home i hope u have got your answer now bye
