As all wolves do, they face the dangers of humans, but not as much as the other species and subspecies do. Since they can live so far north, they hardly every come within contact of human life. Althogh other dangers they face are the freezing temperatures, they are adapted to below freezing temperatures and are usually well guarded against such coldness. One of the major dangers, however, is the lack of food in the arctic.
The most dangerous thing to timber wolves currently is hunters in North America. Timber wolves have recently been removed from the list of protected species under American law, so can again be hunted legally for pelts or to protect livestock or increase numbers in prey populations such as deer. In the natural world there is little or no threat to timber wolves, but in other parts of the world such as Asia, wolves are threatened by hunters also, as there is no protection in place. In Europe there is protection for wolves, but there is poaching nevertheless. In some European countries wolves are considered a species that can be hunted, like game. However the most threatened wolf is currently the wolves in Northern America, being the timber or grey wolf. It is threatened by hunters or stock herders who think that killing wolves is the easiest and most effective option for reducing the threat of wolves to their livestock.
one of the dangers that wolves face is that the land they live in is getting tron down and they have to come onto land that has a lot of humans and humans start freaking out and shoot them not thinking that they just don't have anywhere to go.
Wolves threats r hunters and bears.. They only fight bears to protect there food or pups. Also wolves are threats to other wolves.
trigger happy humans who say they're just worried about their elk and deer herds.
Well, Bear, Cougars, coyotes, hawks, eagles, and snakes. After cougars, are the things that prey upon their pups.
if u mean r wolves in danger or endangered. either way the answer is yes.
Yes, where wolves are present, they drive off or kill coyotes.
Yes people are hunting them for sport and out of fear.
Wolves will naturally avoid danger by leaving the scene. Only when they perceive an inability to avoid danger will they stay and fight.
Every sea animal execpt the shark, Wolves r in danger, polar bears, and tigers.
Wolves are the apex predator in most of their habitat so have no animals from which they need to escape or hide.
Not usually. In fact history notes several tales of wolves suckling human babies as their own. Given that wolves are canine, and all dogs stem from wolves, it would not be possible to breed dogs if wolves held a genetic danger to humans. Contrary to legends and folk syories I don't believe their is one factual recording of wolves killing humans. Another piece of useless information for you, Polar Bears are the only animals that just consider humans as meat.
it is in danger because wolves, grizzly and black bears eat river otters not any other otter only a RIVER OTTER.OK
yes there is...I looked on google once for wolf food and i found a dog killed by a wolf!
Yes. In my science non-fiction book called Follow the Polar Bears, there was a snow wolf and two polar bear cubs and their mother, and their mother smelled danger in the air. There were two snow wolves and because there was danger in the danger came from the wolves -- because the wolves eat bears.
Their strong sense of smell, and hearing help them to know if it is something good, or bad nearby.
Vulnerability means that you might be in danger and that you are weak compared to something else. eg. A boy surrounded by a pack of wolves is vunerable
