If you don't like your dog's current food, DO NOT change it until at least 1 year has passed of the old one. If you do change it's food in less than a year, your dog might get sick and not like you anymore.
Bichons usually do best with a limited ingredient diet like a lamb and rice, chicken and millet, duck and potato, etc... since they are prone to Allergies. My bichon does well on California Natural Lamb and Rice, but in the past we've used Natural Balance Duck and Potato, Healthwise chicken and oatmeal, and Canine caviar all of which have limited ingredient diets available. Most of these companies offer limited ingredient treats and canned food as well.
